This short course enables you to understand the techniques of handling audio equipment to best capture sound with any audio equipment available by including practical examples of microphone techniques, signal flow & gain structure, cables & connectors, loudspeaker placement, application examples and discussion on common issues faced with setting up a sound system in the ballroom, function halls, etc for conferences, dinner & dance events and many more other venues.
We will briefly touch on other topics like wireless systems, aux sends and monitor mixes, stage management & set up and people skills and workplace safety.
Course objective includes :
- Understand audio fundamentals associated with signal flow, gain structure, microphones, loudspeakers, amplifiers, digital signal processing, setting up a sound system and basic mixing strategies.
