This course is designed to develop basic theoretical and practical understanding of the fundamentals of audio engineering.
This will be achieved by theoretically and practically exploring in detail the area of audio engineering through lectures, and workshops. In particular, students will actively engage with learning, developing and analyzing the practice of audio engineering through topics such as: psycho-acoustics, decibels, signal flow, gain structure, microphones, crossovers, loudspeakers, amplifiers and digital audio, system design and engineering; provide new insights and techniques; and perform practical exercises that promote pro-active learning, understanding and research.
Course Objectives:
The information below is provided as a guide to assist students in engaging appropriately with the course requirements.
This course consists of up to 36 hours of direct contact or structured non-contact – 3 hours per week over 12 weeks for the tutorials and hands-on training, where students will play an active role in the practice, refinement, consolidation and extension of their knowledge and understanding.

We envision the Malaysian creative industry to be recognised, celebrated, and cherished. From the old to the young to feel assured that their pursuit for creative prowess will be rewarded. Bridging the gap between their passion and a professional career.
So we’re dedicating ourselves to making sure our style is all about being future-proof and keeps our students hungry to make themselves better and better. With close guidance to make sure they succeed, we’re going to host a community of creative engineers.
We believe practise makes consistency, and consistency evolves us. Having dreams without action makes no sense. And we love what we do. Our excitement for knowledge resonates around the room. And you know what, being able to visualise an outcome, already takes us halfway through the journey. There’s no perfect, but there is definitely progress.
